Can small businesses purchase DPC memberships?
DPC memberships are a great way to cover your employees’ primary healthcare needs, so you can purchase a less expensive high-deductible insurance plan to cover catastrophic costs like major surgery, emergencies, specialists and hospitalization. Please contact Dr. Jennifer for more information on memberships for your business.

What is Direct Primary Care?
The Direct Primary Care (DPC) model is a practice and payment model where patients pay their physician or practice directly in the form of monthly payments for their primary care services. Physicians do not bill insurance and are not limited by insurance company rules, like 15 minute office visits. And patients enjoy a fixed, predictable monthly cost, with no copay or cost per visit.

What is a Cost Sharing Plan?
A medical cost sharing group is an alternative to traditional insurance. It can be used to pay for expenses that are not included in your Direct Primary Care membership, such as surgery, hospitalizations, specialist care, and Emergency Room or Urgent Care visits.
Dr. Hetrick is partnered with SederaHealth.

What if I have health insurance?
As a DPC practice, we do not accept insurance. However, it is important to have health insurance or a cost sharing plan for emergencies. Your Direct Primary Care membership does not include “catastrophic” care such as surgery or hospitalizations, or specialist care.
Many people find a high-deductible plan or cost-sharing plan, combined with a monthly membership in Direct Primary Care, gives them the lowest healthcare cost.
